Ranking Member Takano Statement on Nomination of Joshua Jacobs to be VA Under Secretary for Benefits

RIVERSIDE, CA – House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs Ranking Member Mark Takano (D-Calif.) released the following statement after President Biden’s nomination of Joshua Jacobs for Under Secretary for Benefits:
“In the face of House Republicans’ proposed funding cuts to programs that would have a direct impact on veterans, the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) needs a strong and steady hand at the helm,” said Ranking Member Takano. "In his current role at VBA, Joshua Jacobs has already begun implementation of several significant provisions of my Honoring our PACT Act, among other programs. If confirmed by the Senate, I look forward to working with Mr. Jacobs and VBA to protect funding and preserve the programs that will help veterans lead meaningful lives.”
